A costly U.S.-Mexico border wall, in both dollars and deaths - By Robin Emmott
Securing the United States’s border from illegal immigrants, terrorists and weapons of mass destruction “continues to be a major challenge,” says the United States Government Accountability Office in a new report. It is also proving to be expensive in both lives and money.

A costly U.S.-Mexico border wall, in both dollars and deaths
The wall is hardly worth the trouble. It is an over simplification & a racist solution for a much deeper "problem".
What, immigrants are welcome to the land of the free only if their labor is needed ? Then they cannot benefit from their labor ? Sounds like flawed logic to me.
More importantly, the U.$. & Me$ican governments need to take a closer look at the human rights of undocumented workers ("illegal aliens") no matter where they come from. Mexicans along with other People of Color, built this country then helped maintain it by enlisting to fight or working in defense plants during war time. The southwest was colonized by outside colonial forces (the Spanish, French & americans) at the cost of millions of Indigenous & Mexican lives. This is the area we call Aztlan (Place of Herons- homieland) that upon liberation will need to return stolen lands or compensate monetarily to the Indigenous Nations.
The reorganization of Aztlan needs to include democratic counsel from both sides. Free greasy tacos, fry bread & pizza; teswin, tequila & moonshine for everyone forever ! A fantasy ? Not any more than a fence on the border that will cost over a thousand dollars a day to repair the holes that we cut to gain access to our right to work & live on our own ancestral lands. What a joyous day that will be.
The effort must be led by working people, the largest class & the people most skilled at the different points of production: factory, student-teacher, human service, car washers, hotel workers, farmworkers, food workers & etc. We cannot get away from the fact that working people provide everything for our survival, comfort, transportation, & defense needs.
Justice & Peace, Aztatl
